Maintaining excellent grooming standards at all times following VikingOcean guidelines.
Learns and uses appropriate food and wine terminology and pronunciation toenhance the guest's
dining experience. Becomes familiar with menu descriptions and wine listsin order to discuss items appropriately with guests.
Fully knowledgeable of Vikings food & beverage offerings.
Presents both food and beverage menus to guests, suggests dinner courses,appropriate wines and answers questions regarding menu and wine selections.
Relays order using MXP ordering software to galley as required and servescourses from galley and beverages from various locations following company safealcohol serving policies.
Taking care of restaurant reservation when instructed.
Cleaning and polishing equipment, glassware and flatware
Responsible to follow direction from Managers, Supervisor and maintainingall Viking Ocean Standards.
Establishing effective employee relations and maintain the highest levelof professionalism, ethics, and positive attitude towards all guest andemployees
Prepare and performs all F&B activities (i.e. cocktail parties, TeaTime, Café Lunch) and special events asassigned.
Tallying any sales transactions and correctly follow any accountingprocedures.
Cleaning of working areas in accordance with PH and company rules andstandards.
Separation and disposal of waste / garbage
Conducting stock takes and inventory according to company procedures.
Assistance in other departments upon instruction from supervisors asrequired.
Following all applicable company standards and PH rules.
Keeping and storing of any assigned inventory stock in accordance with setpar-levels following safety and sanitation rules and regulations.
Active participation in onboard training programs.
Embarkation duty as directed, including luggage assistance, guestescorting and any other related duty.
Participation in loading as required and on direction of supervisors.
Additional duties, not mentioned here, will be expected as per managementrequest.
