Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Human Resources professional who prides themselves on their ability to manage the Human Resources function of naked Retreat by developing the strategy aligned to the naked Retreat’s mission, goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Develops the retreat’s HR strategy in conjunction with the mission, goals and objectives of the hotel and presents to Leadership Team.
• Establishes at the property, the HR framework including:
• The organization structure
• HR Policies and Procedures
• Recruitment system
• Induction and Orientation procedures
• Training procedures
• Performance Appraisal system
• Transfer and promotion procedures
• Develops a talent succession plan.
• Designs HR forms, documents and processes.
• Develops staffing policies in line with naked Retreats guidelines.
• Conducts training for managers in HR specialty areas (recruitment; effective roster costing; appraisals, etc ).
• Assist Department Heads in customizing Job Descriptions.
• Develops a reward and recognition system.
• Performs the role of adviser, consultant and councilor to management and staff.
• Develops strategies to correct operational problems relating to staff (including absenteeism, turn over, retention, morale etc).
• Manages industrial relations issues.
• Manages compensation and rehabilitation and medical insurance.
• Manages the retreat’s superannuation scheme.
• Develops and implements procedures for handling disciplinary and grievance interviews.
• Establishes relationships with external organizations including government training agencies; training consultants; private training providers and professional associations.
• Provides advice to the General Manager which will assist in the meeting of strategic objectives.
• Manages the legal issues of the department.
• Responds to requests for information from internal and external sources, including Corporate Office.
• Maintains remuneration scales in accordance with financial objectives.
• Plans bonus, commission and incentive schemes for relevant staff.
• Ensures comprehensive and regular staff communication sessions.
• Prepares efficient work schedules considering the hotel and labor requirements.
• Approves leave after considering business requirements.
• Works with Director of Finance in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget.

• Knowledge of Local Labor and Employment Regulations.
• Problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
Education/Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
• 4 years of relevant experience or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
