    Job Responsibilities: The General Manager is responsible to drive the smooth opening of the project in PARKROYAL Dalian, directing and leading the daily operations, development and business affairs of the hotel through providing effective leadership to the team members of the Hotel. Responsibilities: Strategic planning and implementation • Responsible for the development and implementation of annual business plan and medium term strategies, as well as establishing key performance objectives and plans to ensure the hotel meet its business targets and drives sustainable profitable growth. Operations Management • Overall responsibility of all hotel activities and its departments to ensure efficiency and high standards of operations in all areas of hotel. • Drives guest satisfaction and maintain high standards through his operational leadership, trend analysis and hands on interaction. • Drives employee satisfaction and ensure continuous improvement action plan is executed effectively, with a focus on team and succession planning culture. • Communicates effectively the hotel strategies and situation awareness to all partners: Owner, Management Company and Associates. Financial Management • Oversees the timely development and completion of the annual budgets, to regularly monitor performance and assume responsibility for its achievement. • Responsible for the productive deployment of operations expense budgets and oversight of the hotel financial and administrative systems in keeping with regulatory and audit guidelines. • Leading the Management process in proper expenses and cost control with required services and standards and monitoring the performance of all Departments in this process. • Ensuring compliance with the hotel financial policies in any legal matter, including taxation, government, assets acquisition, company audit, contracts and work regulations. Asset Management • Fully understand the Hotel Management Agreements (HMAs) and abide by the HMA to ensure proper management of the property and its operations standards. • Manages and communicates with the Hotel Owner, in order to maintain good rapport and relationship. • Strategizes on continual improvements to the Asset that will positively impact the Asset Value and Financial Return and communicates these effectively to concerned partners: Owner and Management Company. Business Development and Marketing • Proven track record of GOP achievement through Revenue Growth. • Ability to Profit Engineer when market situation demands while ensuring safety measures are taken to prevent long term negative implications. • Understanding of updated Local and National Markets and ability to lead strategic initiatives to maximise revenues in any given situation. Human Capital Management and Development • Develop the human capital and resources to ensure ongoing management and staff capability development through its selection, performance management, learning and education programs. • Oversees and implements succession planning program at the hotel, incorporating the development of management competencies and in line with the Corporate guidelines. • Ensures that appropriate employee rewards, recognition and welfare programs are in place to maintain high motivation, and to ensure that all employees engaged reflect the values and standards of the Hotel. Service Standardization • To ensure active implementation and adherence to Corporate Branding and Brand Standards • To be able to role as Brand Standards mentor and continues to develop and strive to deliver higher service standards than guest expectations. External • To ensure that the hotel complies with all Laws and Regulations of the Country and its relevant authorities and act as a good corporate citizen. • To take the lead in establishing good, positive relationships with the Country relevant  Governmental bodies, as appropriate. • To represent the Hotel at the highest levels possible in the Business and Civic Communities • To represent the Hotel at the highest Levels possible in organizations spanning hotel Industry.     Position summary statement: The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing necessary financial support to Department Heads to facilitate the achievement of the hotel’s financial targets. He/She will support the General Manager to drive the smooth opening of PARKROYAL Dalian and partakes in all operational, financial and marketing decisions. He/she investigates opportunities and implements procedures for improved profitability, assists and advises where necessary in hotel operations.  The incumbent will maintain control over the Hotel’s assets, liabilities, income and expenditure on behalf of both the Operator and Owner/Asset Management and provide management, leadership and accountability for the financial performance of the hotel. He/she co-ordinates the fulfilment of Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG), Owner/Asset Management and regulatory reporting responsibilities of the hotel on an accurate and timely basis. Primary Responsibilities: Financial & Operational • Contributes to the hotel management development of short and long term strategies and business plans by assisting and providing financial guidance in the formulation and implementation of Hotel Strategic Plan, Budget and KPO’s (Goals Program). • Performs monthly profit & loss review meetings with department heads and follow up any agreed corrective actions for variances noted. • Monitors business results and provides clear and informed analysis to meet hotel requirements and to support decision making. Makes recommendations for potential revenue and profit enhancements. • Co-ordinates the preparation of accurate hotel monthly profit & loss account and balance sheet in compliance with PPHG’s Financial Policies & procedures and in line with PPHG reporting timetable. • Reviews and approves monthly general journals and balance sheet reconciliations and ensures appropriately support. • Monitors Accounts Receivable collection status. Ensures credit meetings are conducted monthly and follows up any agreed corrective actions. • Co-ordinates the preparation of any required tax documentation relating to business taxes, foreign currency transactions, withholding taxes and income taxes and ensures lodgement is completed as per required deadlines. • Co-ordinates the preparation of monthly profit & loss forecasts and annual budgeting process in line with PPHG & Owner Management timetables. • Ensures that an up to date cash flow projection is maintained and maximizes cash flow performance of the hotel through controls on inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances and discusses with Executive Committee on any corrective action required. • Establishes asset policy and standards to maintain ownership of the enterprise-wide capital expenditure approval, keeping hotel leadership informed of current and forecasted spending and conducts ROI to evaluate for improvement. • Work & facilitate with owner Asset Manager to maintain the hotel fixed asset register and Hotel operating equipment register. (unless maintained by hotel) • Arranges FF&E annual inventory count, consolidates and monitors FF&E inventory list. • Communicates and maintains positive Owners relationship. • Reviews operating equipment stores to avoid unnecessary/excessive purchases and to eliminate (or at least be aware) of obsolete slow moving items • Manages, maintains, protects and develops the hotel’s information systems. • Designs internal reporting systems required by the department and hotel. • Evaluates existing internal control measures that apply to accounting procedures and computer systems as per PPHG Policies and Procedures. • Ensures hotel insurances are in compliance with the hotel management contract. Liaises with Owner/Asset Management with regards to the renewal of policies and local insurance company/brokers in relation to any claims. • Ensures hotel supplier contracts are in compliance with PPHG Financial Policies & Procedures and hotel management contract. • Monitors compliance with hotel management contract terms and conditions. • Monitors the hotel's compliance with PPHG Financial Policies & Procedures and to implement new Policies & Procedures where necessary. • Implements and maintains acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by PPHG Policy, generally accepted accounting practices, and as affected by local conditions. • Obtains appropriate legal counsel regarding the business practices of the hotel and maintains an awareness of local laws, rules and regulations. • Provides safekeeping, including proper storage and access for all contracts, leases, licenses and permits and other financial records • Monitors license/permit’s expired date and ensures updated license/permit on hand. • Participates in local recognized professional and industry organizations. • Recommends and maintains appropriate list of delegation of authority for hotel management and this should reference to PPHG corporate policy. • Conducts monthly inspections and tests to ensure all departments are complying with required procedures • Performs those duties required by the controls checklist issued by PPHG Regional VP Finance. Arranges finance section spot check based on the giving checklist and signs off the spot check report. • Selects and monitors the Local Banking arrangements made for the operations of the Hotel in conjunction with the Hotel Owners (Applicable to Managed Hotels). Human Capital & Development • Co-ordinates the hiring and performance evaluation of associates of Finance department. Identifies associates with potential for promotion and/or transfer within accounting operations. • Identifies training needs, develops formal training plans and conducts training sessions for accounting and operational associates in coordination with other departments • Interacts with department and hotel associates in a professional and positive manner to foster good rapport, promote team spirit and ensures effective two-way communication. • Works with Human Capital & Development on manpower planning and management needs. Other Responsibilities • Supports the Mission, Purpose and Values of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group. • Complies with all relevant Workplace Safety & Health practices and maintains a safe workplace for all associates. • Adheres to grooming and hygiene standards set by the Hotel. • Exercises responsible behaviour at all times to uphold the image and reputation of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Hotel and department. • Ensures that the Hotel’s properties and facilities are protected and are kept in good working condition. Reports any loss or damage to the Hotel’s properties and facilities promptly and appropriately. • Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Position summary statement: The Director, People & Culture provides leadership to the People & Culture Team while assuring a consistently high standard of operation/associate service within the team. He/She will support the General Manager to drive the smooth opening of PARKROYAL Dalian. He/She will be responsible for crafting and executing People & Culture strategies and plans for the Hotel to recruit, select, retain and develop associates to meet business needs. He/She is expected to implement policies and procedures initiated by Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) which will support the achievement of the preferred hospitality experience, business practices and local culture within the group that supports the growth and development of all Associates. He/She will promote human resource values by planning, managing and directing relevant human resource programs in the Hotel. Primary Responsibilities: Business Partner • Manages workforce diversity with the General Manager and the Heads of Department. • Interacts with the Heads of Departments in a way that demonstrates Human Resources (HR) support in addressing labour challenges and issues. Develops strategies by identifying HR issues; contributing information, analysis and recommends to support Hotel’s and/or PPHG’s direction and to be in line with overall objectives. • Crafts HR strategies or programmes and/or implements and facilitates programmes as delivered from corporate strategic plan so that they are relevant within the property environment and organisation’s mission and values. • Grows the Culture – Our Vision, Purpose & Values in order to radiate the internal work atmosphere, sense of place and belonging to our Associates within the property. • Advises on the human capital related initiatives for the property, inclusive of associates relations, personnel practices and policy, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, labour relations and organisational development to the Executive Committee of the property. Recruitment & Employment • Prepares manpower requirements and establishes recruitment timeline. • Manages and participates in recruitment efforts to acquire the most qualified and suitable personnel by recommending the most cost-effective recruitment channels. • Administers all employment requisitions and employment contracts to ensure proper compliance, standards and procedures are met per the policies and business needs of PPHG and the Hotel. • Supports the hotel management in reviewing and filling the pipeline of talents needed to ensure the organisation’s future growth. • Facilitates manpower planning during budgeting exercise and ensures the compliance of approved headcount. Learning & Development • Identifies training needs and leads the development and implementation of general associate training, orientation, functional/professional training, management development programs and inter-company learning & development programs. • Ensures training activities are planned to meet current and future hotel and associates’ needs. Develops and prepares training plan on an annual basis and monitor accordingly. • Directs and sets plans for development of associates who are identified as “High Potential” and promotes internal career development. • Facilitates and supports the Heads of Department in developing talents to maximise human capital potential. • Develops and implement succession planning process to identify and develop internal talents with the potential to fill supervisory and key leadership positions in the Hotel. Compensation, Benefits & Welfare • Implements and administers salary and benefits plans to be competitive within the market and industry, as well as to ensure consistency within the company policy while maintaining internal equity. • Participates in salary and benefit surveys and keeps abreast of market trends under the direction of the Corporate People & Culture. Makes relevant recommendations to the hotel management regarding trends and analysis, related to salary increase, Associates compensation and benefits. • Manages and coordinates annual salary review and bonus payments in accordance to the guidelines of the Corporate People & Culture. • Oversees all Associates benefits and insurance policies to ensure compliance to labour regulations and company policy • Supervises and administers Associates payroll, and maintains an accurate payroll system. • Drives activities to promote team building and engagement amongst the Associates. • Ensures that Associate facilities are well-maintained and in accordance to standards set by Pan Pacific Hotels Group. Performance Management • Supports the Department Heads through monitoring, appraising and reviewing of associate contributions, productivity and quality of service. • Facilitates half-yearly Performance Review exercise for all Associates in the property inclusive of process schedule, review interviews and follow up. • Ensures that goals and objectives are developed and implemented by all Heads of Department, in consultation with the General Manager/ Executive Committee, and effectively communicated to all Associates. • Works closely with Corporate People & Culture to facilitate the tracking of performance of Heads of Department and Associates of high potential. Human Resources Operations • Develops, updates and implements the relevant human resources policies and standards of procedures, including the employee handbook, and ensures they are relevant and effectively communicates to all Associates for proper implementation and understanding. • Liaises with Corporate People & Culture for any implementation of corporate policies and procedures relevant to the hotel operations. • Advises management in all aspects of human resources policies and local regulations, ensuring compliance to them. • Participates in annual Budget exercise by forecasting and anticipating human resource requirements, trends, etc. and proposes resources and develops action plans to support overall results. • Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities and enhances network within the industry. Human Resources Reporting and Information System • Ensures proper maintenance and update all Associates’ personnel files, including personnel movement records. • Ensures compliance of data integrity of information input into the HRMS. • Prepares the necessary People & Culture reports to Hotel Management and Corporate Office on a periodic or ad-hoc basis. Employee Relations and Communication • Handles and manages associate relations, and provides advice to General Manager and management team to ensure a harmonized employee relationship and environment in the hotel and to build a positive working environment. • Supports and guides the Department Heads in handling associate grievances and executing disciplinary actions. Ensures proper documentation, processes are adhered to and provide counselling where applicable. • Ensures that all associates are treated fairly and consistently as outlined in their terms and conditions of employment, local legislation, and company/hotel policies and procedures. • Drives the delivery of Our People, Voices & Views Associate Satisfaction Survey in order to identify opportunities for improvement within the property and facilitates action planning with the Heads of Department. • Provides platforms for communication with Associate to maximise engagement. • Works closely with the Management team to promote retention of talents within the Hotel through Executive Coaching and motivation across the diverse population of our workforce. Health & Safety • Acts as a key member on the hotel’s safety committee to participate and support the hotel safety program. • Works closely with the Safety and Security Manager to ensure that hotel in-house safety regulations are in compliance with the relevant safety and health regulations as set by the authorities and company policy. Other Responsibilities • Supports the Mission, Purpose and Values of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group. • Complies with all relevant Workplace Safety & Health practices and maintains a safe workplace for all associates. • Adheres to grooming and hygiene standards set by the Hotel. • Exercises responsible behaviour at all times to uphold the image and reputation of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Hotel and department. • Ensures that the Hotel’s properties and facilities are protected and are kept in good working condition. Primary Responsibilities: • Develop and implement strategic sales & marketing plans and take effective actions to achieve Room and Catering sales revenue in order to optimise general business opportunities. • Develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets, be in control of expenses and apply the best possible costs management in his/her responsibility. • Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share. • Observe and evaluate the market and main competitors, identify trend and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions so as to achieve satisfactory market share in relation to industry and economic trends. • Establish realistic yet challenging sales targets and measure the effectiveness of strategies, tactical actions and performances of the sales team. • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners and network business relations to corporate clients, like airlines, tourist offices, travel / destination management companies etc. • Oversee advertising and promotional activities, including print, online, electronic media, direct mail, etc and guide preparation of marketing activity reports. • Direct marketing activities and ensure effective results within designated budgets. Maintain consistent Brand standards throughout all products, promotional material and events. • Direct the effective distribution of product via various channels and develop effective strategies to maximise yield. • Meet with key clients, assisting sales team with managing relationships to negotiate and close deals. • Represent the hotel at Trade Shows, Sales Calls & Conferences to promote the hotel and its products whilst seeking new business opportunities. • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposal client base expansion to evaluate production and plan for future sustained business. Talent Management • Responsible for developing and retain both highly-motivated and productive teams who are committed to deliver hotel goals. • Responsible for recruitment of new Associates for the teams. • Involve in handling disciplinary matters related to teams and takes appropriate actions to ensure adherence to the code of conduct of associates. • Conduct performance review of teams and provide feedback on their respective performance. • Identify the training needs of the associates and further develop talents who show greater potential through development plans and coaching. • Take responsibility for staff retention and adopt appropriate measures in building highly engaged teams.
