This position is concerned with the accurate recording/processing of reservations and the maximization of room sales through proactive selling techniques
1.Maximize room sales and revenue for the hotel. UP-selling belongs to highest priorities.
2.Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and the local area.
3.Performs duties of secretarial nature including preparing correspondence, maintaining files, sending faxes, telexes etc.
4.Ensure a sales attitude is adopted at all times and maintain an awareness of all sales opportunities within the hotel. Liaise and follow up with support departments.
5.Quality of reservations belongs to top priorities.
6.Develop and maintain a high level of communication with all major sources of business and advise Reservation Manager of feedback where necessary.
7.Ensure a high level of customer service is consistently maintained.
8.Advise Reservations Manager of any changes or trends relating to business.
9.Ensure all refused business is recorded with reason for refusal.
10.Ensure that all correspondence has been filed accordingly, with correct and up-dated information.
11.Adhere to all company credit policies to ensure that all revenue expected will be received.
12.Maintain and update guest history and marketing database in accordance with the reservations procedures manual.
13.Comply with all company policies relating to reservations.
14.Comply with all systems and procedures as laid down by the Reservation manager.
15.Confirm availability control and overbooking decisions with the Reservation Manager.
16.Prepares arrival list for the following day.
17.Ensure all the reservation input in system are accurate with sufficient back up for review
1.College Degree or above.
2.Basic knowledge of hotel facilities and services
3.Conversant in English
4.Organized & knows filing methods
5.Good typing skills with accuracy
6.Knowledge of Personal Computer
7.A pleasant manner over the telephone
8.Good initiative and patient in dealing with clients
