Involved in all decisions/action steps/activities impacting hotel revenue and quality goals.
Establish department strategic plan and lead department via specific action steps to achieve financial and quality goals.
Review and assign all definite group sales file to the appropriate Catering & Conference Services Manager.
Resolve all function space conflicts as expeditiously as possible.
Provide the yearly Catering Marketing Plan and execute it in an effective manner.
Attend the Food and Beverage Meeting, Staff Meeting, MerV Meeting, daily Team Briefing, monthly Sales & Marketing Meeting and head the daily BEO’s Meeting.
Review all Corporate Group / Incentive Group and Catering Contracts prior to client approval.
Orchestrate a weekly group review with Conference Service Managers.
Maintain thorough knowledge of competitive set through bi-annual site inspections and relationships with counterparts.
Oversee the progress of all established Catering & Conference Services related quality improvement teams to ensure maximum productivity and implementation of results. (MERV Processes)
Periodically accompany all Catering / Conference Services Executives/Managers on site inspections, client appointments and menu tasting to ensure consistency in sales process and quality standards.
Conduct daily walk-through of banquet floor to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards.
Review and distribute group file turnovers with Conference Services Executive / Manager and Sales Manager based on existing relationships, workload and experience.
Handle catering groups as dictated by business levels and established existing accounts.
Lead by example and ensure own clients are 100% satisfied through embodiment of gold standards and execution of hotel and sales basics.
Stay abreast of industry trends in the special event/wedding/meeting industries through benchmarking, trade publications, special event conferences.
