The Director, Brand Management Hilton Garden Inn GCM is responsible for: Setting Strategy • Director-level thought leadership and strategic support of the Senior Director, Suites & Focused Service Brand Management APAC and of our key strategic priorities, projects, and initiatives. • Ability to think strategically at the enterprise level, with the know-how to deliver at the category, brand, regional, and property level. • Take an entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization and push the boundaries within the industry and region to drive brand awareness, preference, and brand love. Executing for Results • Deliver competitive, locally relevant products and services aligned with the focused service space as demanded by owners and guests alike. Conduct or collaborate on all activities needed to grow the brand, including research, prototype and design development or optimization, F&B programming and brand personality localization. • Lead, manage, and assist with enterprise and brand initiatives designed to enhance the on-property customer experience and drive programs and products that foster a commercial culture across all aspects of the business while adhering to owner friendly economics. • Work with various enterprise stakeholders to drive innovation, improve integration, increase automation, and develop, create, and implement successful and measurable programs to assist in growing revenue, driving loyalty, improving service culture, delivering on our Customer Promise, increasing profitability, and executing brand and enterprise objectives within all operating models. • Develop and maintain guides for brand programs and initiatives for successful implementation by hotel teams. • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for brand standards and programs to ensure they drive guest experience and positive owner returns. • Work closely with the Development Team to ensure a pragmatic approach to new deals while balancing a growth mindset with long-term brand equity and support with presentations and pitches. • Work closely with Communications Team on brand launches, FAM trips, press releases, and brand promotional content. • Collaborate with HSM on procurement strategies for the Suites and Focused Service Category including product categorization, design packages, program compliance, purchasing platform, etc. • Create and maintain impactful regional brand storytelling materials for various purposes and stakeholders including prospective and current owners, General Managers, internal audiences, media, etc. • Monitor holistic brand health and liaise across the enterprise to develop strategies and tactics for trending portfolio opportunities. • Work with enterprise partners to establish development, operational, and performance reporting standardization and manage the brand’s quarterly business review cycle.     SCOPE The overall scope of this role is to safeguard the hotel assets and financial resources and ensure that these are utilized to maximize operating results. OVERALL OBJECTIVES To provide timely and accurate information and work together with the executive team in order for the hotel to run profitably and within the legal and corporate guidelines to maximize the use of the resources available and maintain a control over revenues and costs and help ensure that the hotel objectives are met.  The job of Director of Finance is executed satisfactorily when: All local and corporate guidelines and deadlines are met. High forecast accuracy is achieved consistently. Senior Management is provided with timely and accurate financial information. Hotel fully operates under the terms of the Management Agreement. Insurances are up to date and in compliance with local and corporate regulations. At Kempinski, Talent Development is a management responsibility and consequently an integral and important part of our Managers’ daily activities.    The Director of Finance fulfils their role as a Talent Development Ambassador when: They actively support and implement Talent Development initiatives as a part of their daily activities. They identify Training talents in their department and throughout the hotels as per below definition and actively support their career development. They support and initiate transfer, cross exposure and task force assignments for their team. They personally conduct TTTTs with their team on a regular basis and take personal interest for their talents’ development plans. They recruit and select potential talent according to the Company’s current and future hotel, regional and worldwide needs including conducting interviews for positions in their department and their region. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for following and understanding all Kempinski Policies & Procedures.  Responsible for behaving in a professional and harmonious manner and following the Kempinski code of conduct. Responsible for understanding and following the terms of the Management Agreement.  Responsible for supporting, mentoring and developing the finance staff.  Responsible for supporting and encouraging training of all staff in financial matters . Responsible for developing the annual business plan together with the General Manager and Executive Committee.  Responsible for conducting monthly P&L meetings.  Responsible for monitoring and controlling all revenues and expenses and making the corresponding recommendations when needed.  Responsible for reviewing the cash position of the hotel in order to optimize the use of funds.  Responsible for preparing and submitting the quarterly self assessment report.  Responsible for preparing and submitting an accurate monthly forecast. Responsible for reviewing and signing the Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly.  Responsible for ensuring the preparation of the accurate and timely monthly financial report. Responsible for being the contact for the auditors and act upon recommendations in the audit report.  Responsible for continuously searching for new business opportunities to benefit the hotel.  Responsible for the control environment within the hotel.  Responsible for keeping and safeguarding all contracts, lease agreements, licenses, insurance policies and all legal and financial documents.  Responsible for maintaining good relationships with the hotel owners/representatives as well as external partners.  Responsible for communicating with the General Manager on any discrepancies or other potential problems. Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.
