Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Director of Business Development, assist in achieving the brand and Hotel positioning objectives locally and internationally through Marketing Communication, PR and Promotional activities.
Handle all PR related areas, including media planning, media relations, media database build-up and maintenance and press release writing.
Assist the Director of Business Development in all areas, including advertising, promotions, communications, copy writing and collateral production.
Submit monthly PR summary report to Director of Director of Business Development.
Consulting of stakeholders to manage their content on the website.
Ensure that all PR related systems are kept up to date with accurate information and all HI standards are complied fully.
Review of overall hotel content and support to hotel level to maximize potential
Implement PR and media strategies and plans, also contracting and working closely with PR agencies in China.
Plan, organize and manage PR events in source markets as directed by Director of Marketing & Communications.
Maintain media relations via regular press releases and press calls to key feeder markets.
Responsible for all online media campaigns and respective budget collation and management
Work with regional specialists （Sales, Marketing, Revenue） to drive channel shift across key segments - leisure, tactical, corporate, meetings
Handle all professional, in-house, media and travel agent photography and filming.
Maximize online partner activities in the Chinese speaking markets
Contribute/support to the annual publicity plans of local and national tourist offices and airlines and suggests hotel’s participation in conjunction with their publicity programs.
Work with local community organizations and charities and is helpful to maintain the hotel’s image as a community supporter.
Work with Webtrends to analyze and evaluate website performance and monitor online retailing activities
Management of search engine marketing activities （with respective local & international agencies）
Responsible for all email marketing activities in the Chinese market
Liaising with the regional e-commerce people to run online projects and maximize online marketing potential
Develop activities and infrastructure to maximize channel shift and work with internal stakeholders to achieve these targets
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
College degree required. Major in Communication, Mass Communication or Journalism required.Min 3-4 years experience in similar capacity with international chain hotels.
Excellent written and spoken Mandarin & English are a must.
Sufficient knowledge of tasks within the area of responsibility.
Knowledge in mass communication, creative graphic design, innovative copy writing, and editing.
Knowledge of local & international market.
Good computer skills with minimum requirement in use of Microsoft Windows XP or higher, Microsoft Office 2007 or higher, Internet and other popular publishing software.
Good interpersonal & communication skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
